iPad Air 2 Design

Apple has perfected the art of engineering in iPad Air 2 and was able to produce a tablet with a very low thickness. With a thickness of 6.1 mm, Air 2 is 18% thinner than its previous generation.

Although this Apple tablet is very thin, it boasts good strength. The strength that is the main feature of a luxury product and is the factor that distinguishes iPad from other plastic competitors. It can be boldly said that putting Air 2 inside a protective case or cover is the biggest betrayal that can be done to this tablet. Air 2 should be held in hand and enjoyed.

The design has not changed much compared to Air 1. So if you look at the two devices from a distance, you cannot distinguish them from each other. Of course, when you get into the details, you will notice some changes. In addition to changing the appearance of the Home button, which is now equipped with the Touch ID system, Apple has also removed the Mute button on the right side of the device.

As a result of this structural change, the extra space between the layers has been removed and the display is closer to your eyes.  In addition to bringing the LCD closer to the user, removing extra spaces between the layers has also improved the quality of the images.  iPad Air 2 uses a special anti-reflective coating, which makes its performance under the sun great. Now you can go to open spaces with your tablet and work with it easily. According to Apple, the new coating reduces reflections by 56%.

The iPad 9 is very similar to its predecessor, with a sturdy frame, aluminum body and Touch ID home button. In fact, it is so similar that it even has the exact same weight and dimensions. Also, the colors of both iPads are similar and no changes have been made. Apple still chose to use its own Lightning port instead of switching to USB-C, which can now be used in the new iPad Air, iPad Pro and iPad Mini 6.

The iPad 9 has a 10.2-inch screen, which is 2160 x 1620 pixels with a pixel density of 264ppi and a brightness of 500 nits. In other words, this is the same screen that can be seen in the previous version. Like the 8th generation iPad, it uses a Retina display with True Tone added. This feature, found on higher-end iPads, uses an ambient light sensor to detect the light in your environment and adjust the display brightness accordingly.
